From the theme Conspire, we have developed a project in which the spectator has the sensation that he’s being watched without never knowing who was that "suspect" person behind the wall. In this way, we have built a wall with bricks and the spectator watches in the security television a black and white video of a suspect person on the other side of the barrier as if it was in real-time. When the spectator decides to meet that person, the camera detects movement and the character on TV disappears running through the corridor.

FLY workshop Interactive video webcam lab

This project, developed by three students, has it’s starting point on the flight made by a fly.
Considering how this insect observes and moves in space, we built a video in which the user is invited to interact, moving – as if he was flapping away the fly – so that it can fly to another place. It’s a black and white video and has the appearance of being inserted inside a sphere with a hexagonal grid, to look like the Fly’s vision. The same applies to the unstable way the environment was filmed.
