This installation is intended to create a situation of nonsense to link the increase of the level of the sea water with the domestic universe of a bathroom where we daily spend a lot of water. This connection is made through the overlap of the projected image of the sea on 4 side shower curtains, which forms a cubic space. The rising of the water till the horizon will create the illusion of an aquarium that is filled, but before it overflows is emptied by the action of the sound of a toilet flush. This action is repeated cyclically referring to the tidal cycle, or the wave of our day to day. If the installation is experienced inside the curtains, people have the feeling of the paradox of being immersed, although they are in a dry environment.
The enter and exit of the interior of the installation will create movement in the curtains that can be associated with the sea breeze, which carries the situation to the open air, so there is no need to create an extra device for this purpose.
The combination of different elements creates on the observer the sense that something is off-site, but the intention is that is precisely the disparity that works as a driver of meanings.

DURAS, Marguerite [1988] "A barrier against the Pacific", Lisbon, Difel
This novel illustrates the eternal human struggle and desire to dominate nature. In this story a family with little money buys a supposedly arable land, however, after the first sowing in June, the tides come and lead the Pacific with all the planting. "The mother" did not move up and stubborn resolve the various farmers in the vicinity to build a dam against the Pacific. The dam is completed but against all expectations at the time of the tides, yields and is destroyed by the waves. Its location was on the migratory route of crabs and these, to meet their life cycle, with its passage destroyed the foundations of the dam.
Here is concerned the complex system that is the nature, which may never be seen as a direct relationship between two subjects, but as an interrelationship that is not an end in sight.

"Susan Robb's sculptures and built environments transform common objects into ideological hybrids of flesh, nature, and technology. Drawing on empirical observation, reflection, and imagination about her immediate surroundings and contemporary social issues, these hybridizations are open-ended investigations into the kaleidoscopic intersection of culture and nature, speaking of the intelligence of nature and dynamic systems.
